Mission

At Bible Land Books, we want your children to know the Bible well and love it deeply. We believe faith is rooted in the truth of Scripture, and for generations, Christians have learned some of life’s most important lessons through stories. Our mission is to foster biblical literacy in the next generation by creating stories that captivate children’s hearts, minds, and imaginations. We want kids to see that the Bible’s stories are real—about real people in real places—deepening their faith with every page they turn.

Philosophy

Bible Land Books was created to help kids discover that the Bible is more than just stories—it’s the true account of real people, in real places, with a God who is real and present. Our resources bring the lands of the Bible to life, showing children the history, geography, and incredible lessons hidden in its pages.

We believe kids learn best when their imaginations are sparked, so each book is designed to be engaging, age-appropriate, and full of wonder. By connecting children with the world of the Bible, we help them grow their biblical literacy and discover that Scripture is exciting, meaningful, and deeply relevant to their own lives today.

As a small, family-owned publisher, we create the same resources we share with the children in our own lives. We invite you to join us in equipping and encouraging the next generation of believers.

Meet the

Founders

Rachel Pettit

Hi, I’m Rachel Pettit—a wife, mom to an elementary-aged daughter, and aunt to 13 kids ranging from toddlers to teens. As a nonprofit professional, I’ve also spent many years partnering with ministries and nonprofit organizations, helping them connect their mission and vision to communities all over the world. These experiences have given me a front-row seat to the challenge of sharing faith effectively with the next generation. Growing up in church, I learned the power of story. Those stories shaped my own faith and gave me something solid to hold on to. Now, as I raise my daughter and walk alongside the other little ones in my life, I want them to experience that same sense of wonder and truth.

That desire led to the founding of Bible Land Books. What started as a project quickly became a vision: to help kids see that the Bible isn’t just a collection of faraway tales or cartoon-like stories, but the true account of real people, in real places, with a God who is real and present. My faith is rooted in what is true, and I want the next generation to stand on that same strong foundation. Through Bible Land Books, our goal is to nurture young faith by grounding it in the reality of scripture so that the next generation of Christians can carry a resilient, lifelong faith.

Rebecca Pettit

Hi, I’m Rebecca Pettit—writer/producer, educator, auntie, adopted mom, and very grateful grandmother.

I’ve spent years studying the Bible in its original language and land, earning degrees in Biblical Languages and the Hebrew Bible, plus two Master’s in Middle Eastern Culture & Religion and the Hebraic Roots of Christianity—right in Jerusalem. Before children’s publishing, I spent 15+ years as a documentary filmmaker, traveling to more than fifty countries and learning to see the world as a living classroom. That eye for detail now shapes every page we create.

At Bible Land Books, I love to blend scholarship, storytelling, and on-the-ground research to help families connect with Scripture through its real places, culture, and history. You’ll often find my simple “Author’s Translations” of key verses sprinkled in—little helps that bring out meaning that’s easy for kids (and grown-ups!) to grasp. I split my time between the USA and Jerusalem, where I write, teach, direct, and guide curious hearts through the intersection of Scripture, story, and God’s remarkable creation. But my favorite moments are at home—reading aloud, swapping questions, and sharing the wonder of the Bible with all the kids I’ve been blessed to love. I’m so glad you’re here. I hope our books spark curiosity, courage, and great conversations around your table.
